Rajasthan Sociological Association was founded by Prof. T.K.N. Unnithan as its founder President in the year 1968. Since then the Association is organizing its annual conferences in the state in addition to publishing the journal.Rajasthan Journal of Sociology. A Bilingual Journal of RSA. The Association instituted the Life Time Award in Dec. 2005 to eminent scholars and individuals who have significantly contributed to the growth and development of Sociology in Rajasthan.

The following scholars/sociologists are the recipients of RSA Life Time Achievement Award for their outstanding contribution in the field of sociology Prof. Yogendra Singh, Prof. B.R. Chauhan, Shri Kailash Rawat (2005), Prof. T.K.N. Unnithan, Prof. K.L. Sharma, Dr. S.L. Doshi and Dr. M.L. Gupta (2006), Prof. Indu Mathur, Prof. Shyam Lal Jedia,Dr. H.K. Rawat, Dr. H.S. Verdia and Dr. N.K. Bhargava (2009), Prof. I.P. Modi,Prof. Mohan Advani, Prof. U.R. Nahar and Shri Virendra Prakash Sharma were given this award in 2010. Dr. S.C. Sharma, Dr. R.A.P. Singh and Shri N.K. Mahla were given award in 2011. In 2012 RSA Life Time Achievement Award were given to Prof. C.L. Sharma, Udaipur, Dr. J.K.L. Ramani, Bikaner & Dr. K.C. Sharma, Chittorgarh. In 2013 RSA Life Time Achievement Award were given to Prof. B.K. Nagla, Rohtak and Prof. M.S. Trivedi, Udaipur.In 2014 RSA Life Time Achievement Award were given to Prof. S.B. Singh ,Noida & Prof. Leena Parmar ,Jaipur. In 2015 RSA Life Time Achievement Award were given to Prof. Sushma Sood (Jaipur),In 2016 RSA Life Time Achievement Award Were given to Prof. Rajiv Gupta (Jaipur) Prof. Pradeep Singh Choondawat (Vadodara).In 2017, RSA Conferred its Life Time Achievement Award to Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak (New Delhi) and Prof. Madhu Nagla (Rohtak) on 21st Dec 2017. RSA Life Time Achievement Award Were given to Prof. Kirti Rajimwale (Jodhpur), Prof. Rajendra Kumar Saxena (Bikaner) in 2018. RSA Life Time Achievement Award Were given to Prof. Sushila Jain (Jaipur) Prof. Kailash Nath Vyas (Jodhpur) Prof. Hanuman Gujrati (Beawar) 2019. RSA Life Time Achievement Award Were given to Prof. S.P. Gupta (Jodhpur) Dr. Mridula Trivedi (Udaipur)2020/2021 RSA Life Time Achievement Award Were given to Prof. Arvind Kumar Agrawal, Jaipur, Prof. R. S. Shrivastava Jodhpur, Dr. P. C. Jain Udaipur.2022 RSA Conferred its Life Time Achievement Award to at Jaipur. Rajasthan Sociological Association is a professional body of sociologists in the state of Rajasthan functionary since 1968 onwards for the development of the discipline sociology.
